bananas, and soft cookies come together in a dessert that’s simple, familiar, and completely irresistible.

What makes banana pudding so special is its beautiful balance of textures and flavors. The bananas add natural sweetness and softness. The pudding brings silky smooth richness. And the cookies — whether you choose buttery Pepperidge Farm Chessmen or traditional vanilla wafers — soak up just enough moisture to become cake-like while still holding their shape.

Using Chessmen cookies gives the dessert a slightly richer, buttery flavor and a more elegant presentation. Vanilla wafers, on the other hand, offer that classic Southern charm that many grew up with. Either way, the result is pure comfort in every spoonful.
